Q. What happens if the weather is very inclement?

A. If it is considered by the lead guide that conditions make a particular walk to hazardous or unpleasant then there are several possible options: a) Another more suitable or more sheltered walk will be substituted. b) The day may be deemed a “rest” day and you will be taken by our bus on a suitable tour that might include locations of historic interest, local vineyards, wildlife parks or similar.

Q. What happens if I am not feeling well or up to “par” on any particular day?
A. You may travel in the bus on that particular day. The driver may offer suggestions on places that you could visit en-route, however if entrance fees are involved you are responsible for these costs.

Q. Will we have any “free” time?
A. Yes, usually after the evening meal, you will be free to retire early, undertake short local walks close to the Hotel or Guest House or simply “chill” out. In addition your guide might offer some suggestions or even join you.

Q. How much will I have to carry on the walks?
A. Just a day pack, with your water-proof shell clothing & perhaps a fleece jacket or spare jumper, a water bottle & lunch & snacks that we will provide. Other items of spare clothing might be carried depending on conditions to be expected and the time of year. Your guide will usually carry a small fuel stove to provide the option of hot drinks at lunch time so we will also provide you with an insulated cup to carry for your personal use.
